On March 30, 2026, the traditional diplomatic reception “Nowruz – Traditional Spring Celebration” took place at the Eurostars Grand Hotel Wien, in the “Quadrille” hall (Kärntner Ring 9, Vienna). The event was organized at the initiative of the Diplomatic Society in the format of the “Ambassadors and Friends of Diplomatic Society” reception, dedicated to Nowruz — a celebration of peace, renewal, and unity.
The evening brought together members of the diplomatic corps and guests from friendly countries. Traditional Nowruz tables were presented under the patronage of the ambassadors of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The Republic of Tajikistan was represented by the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Austria, headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Manuchehr Jobir. It was an honor for the Paivand association to be part of this evening.
A special atmosphere was created by the performance of Paivand Deputy Chairman Eduard Babadustov and the dance ensemble “Sluchaynye–Paivand,” who conveyed through art the vibrant energy and depth of Tajik culture.
Such gatherings remind us that Nowruz is not only a celebration but also a shared feeling of light, respect, and hope. Culture is a living force that unites people, countries, and hearts.
Paivand is a connection between the past and the future, between the homeland and the world.
