On March 22, an event to prepare traditional sumanak was held in Belgium at the initiative of Khosiyatjon, Chairperson of the Association of Tajiks in Belgium.
Sumanak is not just a dish, but an important part of cultural heritage, symbolizing patience, abundance, and new life. It is prepared together—with kind thoughts, songs, and sincere wishes.
On this day, people from different countries—Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Afghanistan—gathered to preserve traditions and feel true unity.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth, hospitality, and genuine joy. Events like these once again remind us that culture knows no boundaries, and traditions unite people.
Special thanks to Khosiyatjon for her initiative, hard work, and the heartfelt organization of this wonderful event, where everyone felt like part of one big family.
