On 30 March 2026, the traditional diplomatic reception “Nowruz – Traditional Spring Celebration” was held in the Quadrille Hall of Eurostars Grand Hotel Wien (Kärntner Ring 9, Vienna). The event was organized by the Diplomatic Society as part of its Ambassadors and Friends of the Diplomatic Society series, celebrating Nowruz—the ancient festival of peace, renewal, and unity.

The evening brought together members of the diplomatic corps, distinguished guests, and representatives of friendly nations. Traditional Nowruz tables were presented under the patronage of the ambassadors of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The Republic of Tajikistan was represented by the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Austria, led by H.E. Ambassador Manuchehr Jobir.

It was a great honor for Paivand Association to take part in this memorable celebration. The evening was enriched by a speech from Eduard Babadustov, Deputy Chairman of Paivand, as well as a captivating performance by the “Sluchaynye–Paivand” Dance Ensemble, whose artistry beautifully conveyed the vitality, elegance, and rich cultural heritage of Tajikistan.

Events like these remind us that Nowruz is more than a celebration—it is a shared expression of light, respect, hope, and human connection. Culture has the power to unite people, nations, and hearts beyond borders.
